Arc Bouncy Castles: Safety Instructions

It is the responsibility of the person’s hiring the equipment to ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:

  1. Arc Bouncy Castles have clearly stated the age limit for each piece of equipment on the website. Please ensure no person over this age uses the equipment.
  2. No adult should use the equipment unless the equipment is approved for such use.
  3. A responsible adult must supervise the equipment at all times.
  4. No person under the influence of drink or drugs should use, supervise or operate the equipment.
  5. Always ensure the equipment is not overcrowded. This includes limiting numbers according to the age and size of people using it. Try to avoid a mix of large and small children at the same time.
  6. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step, as children could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users on and off only.
  7. Ensure that nobody with a history of back or neck injuries, or any child that is feeling unwell, uses the equipment.
  8. All shoes, glasses, jewellery and badges must be removed before using the equipment.
  9. Please ensure users do not attempt somersaults, are clothed appropriately and that nothing can fall from their pockets.
  10. No food, drink or chewing gum is to be allowed on or near the equipment, this will avoid both choking hazards and mess. No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers or silly string are to be used on or near the equipment.
  11. There should be no smoking or barbeques near the equipment.
  12. No pets, toys or other sharp instruments on or near the equipment.
  13. Climbing, hanging or sitting on side walls is dangerous and must not be allowed.
  14. Children should not be pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to cause injury, damage or distress to others or the equipment.
  15. Do not allow anyone to use the inflatable during inflation or deflation as this could damage the equipment and injure the user.
  16. If the jumping area of the inflatable should become wet do not allow users on. In the event of rain and if the inflatable is not fitted with a shower cover, the unit should not be used. Any wetness, including bubbling (which is normal) can be dried with the aid of a towel.
  17. In the event of heavy rain or high winds, it is strongly recommended that the Inflatable be switched off. If the winds exceed 38km/h (Force 5 Beaufort Scale), the unit should be deflated immediately and then reinflated once the winds subside. Beaufort Scale Description = Fresh breeze: Small trees in leaf begin to sway.
  18. In the event that the blower stops working, ensure all users exit the Inflatable immediately. Make sure the blower tube has not come loose, the deflation zip is still closed and that nothing is obstructing the blower. In the event that the blower should overheat or lose power switch the blower off at the mains and wait 1-2 minutes. Failing all this please contact us, as soon as possible for further instructions or replacement. Remember, failure to contact us will mean we can do nothing about it when we collect the equipment.
  19. Always use the RCD plug provided. Only use electrical equipment supplied by us, as all electrical equipment is fully tested, to the appropriate health and safety guidelines, by a qualified electrician and fitted with British Standard approved connections. These connections are splash proof (except RCD’s) and can be left out in wet weather. However, do not allow them to become submerged in puddles, etc. If unsure, always contact us for further advice or replacement.
  20. Do not allow any person to interfere, adjust or repair any electrical item, even if qualified to do so, as this may result in additional cost for replacement/repair.
  21. Any damage to the equipment caused by misuse, neglect, loss or failure to follow these conditions, shall deem the Hirer liable for full repair, or replacement costs. This is in addition to any loss of business as a result of such loss or damage. We will take legal action if necessary to recover any of these costs.

IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT ANYTHING, CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY.
